【摘要】:Bodiesofwater,suchasswimmingpools,artificialponds,andirrigationditchesoftenarelinedwithplasticfilms.Algaetendtogrowinsuchbodiesofwaterundertheproperatmosphericconditions,andtheycanproduceslimyandunsightlydepositsonthefilm.Themethoddescribedhereinisusefulinevaluatingthedegreeandpermanencyofprotectionagainstsurfacegrowthofalgaeaffordedbyvariousadditivesincorporatedinthefilm.1.1Thispracticecoversthedeterminationofthesusceptibilityofplasticfilmstotheattachmentandproliferationofsurface-growingalgae.1.2ThevaluesinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
